What the 50 mm pipe kit is used for
The kit connects the floor drain to the suction pipe from which the sand filter draws water. The two-way valve lets you direct the suction. The 2″ × 50 mm adapter screws onto the drain's 2″ internal thread. Then the SpaFlex hose is glued to the PVC parts.
The fittings are 50 mm, so the kit fits the usual 50 mm pipe system.
Follow the adhesive instructions. First clean the surfaces with the PVC cleaner. Then apply the adhesive and join the parts. Let the joints cure before turning on the water.
Advantages of the ready-made kit
The kit saves time. All parts are 50 mm and fit together.
This means there is no need to select fittings separately. The adhesive and cleaner are also included. All the necessary parts are included, so no additional purchases are needed to connect the drain.
Installation tips
Plan the pipe route before concreting the slab. This avoids unnecessary bends.
Check the connections for leaks before backfilling. Tighten all threaded connections with PTFE tape. Connection to electrical devices and pumps must be carried out by a specialist.
