The MTH SK 2 unglued skimmer is a hanging skimmer with a threaded connection for above-ground pools, with no installation work. The skimmer hooks over the pool wall and needs no opening in the liner. This means no installation costs and the liner stays intact. It is suitable for round and figure-eight pools.

How the SK 2 unglued skimmer works
The skimmer hangs over the wall and is held in place with suction cups. It is suitable for steel pools with a rim width of up to 40 mm. The built-in pre-filter basket traps coarse dirt. That is why the pump's strainer basket needs cleaning less often.
Chlorine tablets are added through the skimmer basket. Adding chemicals directly into the pool risks bleaching the liner. The water cleaned by the external filter returns through a built-in return pipe with an adjustable nozzle. This lets you aim the jet as you wish.

What is included
The set includes a suction plate for connecting a cleaning brush. It is placed directly on the pre-filter basket. The suction plate should always be removed when no cleaning device is connected. This way the skimmer draws the water surface correctly.
When to choose a hanging skimmer
The hanging skimmer is a convenient alternative when an ordinary skimmer cannot be built into the pool. It simply hooks over the wall. It is suitable for both in-ground and free-standing steel pools. No openings need to be cut in the wall or the liner.
The skimmer also connects to the external filter like any other skimmer. The pre-filter basket protects the pump from leaves and insects. That is why the pool stays clean with less frequent pump cleaning.
Skimmer connection and dimensions
The model has a threaded connection. The skimmer dimensions are shown in the drawing. Deviations are possible depending on the version and the piping system. Please check the drawing and your pipe connection before ordering.
The connection to the sand filter is made with suitable hoses or pipes and adapters. Check the dimensions for your pool on the drawing before installation.

Traditional production in Bavaria
MTH started in 1970 with electric heaters and cartridge filters for private pools. In 1980, the production of above-ground pools and PVC liners began, and from 1986, the Waldkreiburg plant added heat welding and high-frequency welding.
Since 2006, MTH has been part of the global Fluidra group, but the products continue to be manufactured entirely in Germany under its own brand – steel pools, liners, solar covers and skimmers.
All MTH products are manufactured in the traditional factory in Waldkreiburg, Bavaria.
