O-ring for Swing pool hose
A hose O-ring seals the place where the hose connects to the filtration or the pool. This way water does not leak at the connection.

The original Mountfield ring has the exact size for the Swing series. This means you do not have to look for a suitable seal yourself.

What a hose O-ring does
The picture shows a thin black rubber ring with a round cross-section. It is placed in a groove of the connection. When the nut is tightened, the ring is pressed and closes the gap. This stops leaks and air being drawn in. Over time the rubber hardens or cracks. That is why the ring is a part that is replaced regularly.
When to replace the ring
- when the hose connection drips or wet marks are visible;
- when the rubber is hardened, cracked or flattened;
- when the ring was lost while taking things apart;
- when preparing for the new season.
How it is installed
First stop the filtration and unplug it. Then unscrew the connection and remove the old ring. Clean the groove of dirt. Fit the new ring evenly, without twisting it. Finally, screw on the connection by hand. Do not use pliers, so that the plastic is not damaged.
Advantages of the original O-ring
Universal rings often have a slightly different size or hardness. Then the connection leaks or is hard to tighten. The original Mountfield ring is selected for this series. This is why it seals immediately and withstands the pool water. Also, the price of the small part is incomparably lower than repairing a damaged filtration. It is good to keep one spare ring when you put the pool away.
