Hose clamp for Swing pool
A hose clamp holds the hose firmly on the filtration fitting. This way the connection does not slip off under pressure and does not leak water.
The original Mountfield clamp fits the hoses of the Swing series. It is tightened by hand, without tools.

What a hose clamp is for
The picture shows a grey plastic clamp with a screw and a wing nut. The clamp wraps around the hose at the fitting. When you tighten the nut, it clamps the hose evenly. The wing nut turns with your fingers. That is why no tools are needed. When taking the pool apart and putting it away for winter, such parts are easily lost or broken.
When to replace the clamp
- when the clamp or its screw is broken;
- when the nut spins freely;
- when the hose slips off the fitting;
- when the clamp was lost while putting the pool away.
How it is installed
First switch off the filtration. Then unscrew the nut and open the clamp. Slide it over the hose. Place the hose on the fitting and slide the clamp over the connection point. Finally, screw on the wing nut by hand until the hose is tight. Do not overtighten, so that the plastic does not crack.
Advantages of the original clamp
Universal hose clamps often cut into the hose or do not tighten it evenly. The original Mountfield clamp has a suitable diameter and a wide band. This is why it spreads the pressure over the hose and does not damage it. Its plastic construction does not rust in water. It is also fitted in seconds and without tools. Keep a spare clamp when you put the pool away.
