Shape and character of the Nature coping stone

The slab is flat, of even thickness, with a slightly rounded edge towards the water. The surface has the natural unevenness of split stone. Its anti-slip class is A+B. For the area around the pool there is Nature Stone 50 × 50 × 2.5 cm paving of the same material.

Series elements and prices

The price is per element, VAT included. Choose the colour and element from the menus next to the price.

The standard radii are 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 m, and the reversed ones 1, 1.5 and 3 m. With the grey colour, efflorescence may appear after cutting.

Standard radii in metres: 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5. Inverted radii: 1, 1.5, 3.

Additional machining on request: milled groove underneath (only for straight elements, right and inverted corners) – €12.78 per element. Request it in the order notes.

Colours and surface

The main colours are white, yellow and grey. There is also a dark Active shade, available for an extra charge. The slip-resistance class of the surface is A+B. The colour on screen depends on your monitor and the lighting when the photo was taken, so please request a sample for the exact shade.

How to lay the coping

1. Arrange the elements dry and decide where they will need to be cut.
2. The base must be stable, dry and cured. Work at a temperature between 5 and 30–35 °C.
3. Bond with a professional stone adhesive, in a layer of about 1 cm.
4. Leave about 1 mm between the elements.
5. Grout with the manufacturer's grout mix and wipe off the excess immediately.
6. If the pool is still under construction, cover the coping until the work is finished.

Materials for laying and cleaning

• Adhesive for coping and tiles, 25 kg bag – enough for about 27 coping stones or 20 tiles.
• Grout mix, 25 kg bag, in white, grey, pink, yellow and brick – enough for about 100 coping stones or 12 m² of tiles.
• Caroprotec water- and stain-repellent impregnator, 5 l container – enough for about 100 coping stones or 25 m² of tiles.
• Deter-AC for cleaning after installation and Cibermac for seasonal cleaning – 5 l containers, each enough for about 100 coping stones.
• Smacoil for local stains, Alganet against moss and algae, Densorux – a gel for rust stains.

Maintenance

After laying, wash the coping with the post-installation cleaner. Then treat it with the water- and stain-repellent impregnator – stone that is not impregnated absorbs every kind of dirt. The manufacturer also recommends stain removers and colour-refreshing products that keep the surface looking good over the years. Do not wash smooth surfaces with a high-pressure washer or aggressive chemicals. Do not use de-icing salt on the coping and paving. When you open the packaging, the elements may have damp patches. This is normal: the colour evens out completely in about six months.

Important before ordering

The products are a mix of natural aggregates and pigments, so the colour and sandblasting may differ between batches. For paving over 16 m², alternate elements from all the pallets. The tolerance for each size is ± 5 mm. Whitish patches (efflorescence) and, more rarely, brownish ones are possible – a natural phenomenon with cement-based materials that disappears over time. The manufacturer's warranty covers replacement of a defective element that has not yet been laid, so inspect the goods before installation.

Carobbio S.r.l. is an Italian company from Sorisole near Bergamo. For fifty years it has been producing coping, paving and finishing elements for pools from reconstituted stone, and today it is run by the family's second generation. It also owns the patented RockPool system for prefabricated pools.
