The stand is made in Turkey by Atlas Pool, catalogue no. POM067. It is an inexpensive and durable solution that keeps the pump away from the moisture on the floor.
Why a pump stand in the technical room
Water often collects in the pit or in the technical room. It comes from filter backwashing, condensation or rain. When the pump sits directly on the floor, the motor is closer to the moisture. The stand lifts it 205 mm. This keeps the pump dry and easier to service.
A raised pump is also more convenient to connect to the pipes. Access to the pre-filter and the basket is easier too. For example, the basket can be cleaned without bending down to the floor.
Construction of the pump stand
The stand is made of rigid black plastic. The top surface is flat and wide. The four legs have wide feet that spread the weight over the floor. Between the legs there are arched openings. Pipes and cables pass through them easily.
The plastic does not rust or rot. That is why the stand is suitable for damp rooms and for outdoor use under a shelter.

Installation
First choose a flat, solid place. Then put the stand in place and check that it sits firmly. Finally, place the pump on top and secure it according to the pump manufacturer's instructions. Connect the pipes so that they do not strain the pump.
