Aromatherapy in the sauna
Every plant contains essential oils. They are found in the roots, seeds, leaves, stems and flowers. Aromatherapy uses the oils of selected plants. The aim is to support the balance and harmony of the body – physically and mentally.
The beneficial effect of these oils comes from their influence on hormones and on how the human body works. This turns the sauna into a true aromatic experience.
The essential oil is concentrated. That is why a small amount is enough. It is always used diluted in water. The bottle has a dropper that makes precise dosing easier. This lets you easily measure the squeezes you need and not overdo the aroma.
A series of classic aromas
Mountfield offers 4 classic aromas. They are the basis of interesting aroma combinations. You can use your favourite aroma on its own. You can also mix them to get even more aroma variations. This way you gradually discover what you like best.
How to use pine sauna oil
- As a separate aroma: 3–4 squeezes of the dropper in a bowl with about 100 ml of water. The bowl is placed in the cabin.
- As a booster of the main aroma: 1 squeeze added to one or two squeezes of the main aroma.
- In a Finnish sauna: the solution can be poured directly over the stones. The dose is 3–5 ml per 1 litre of water.
Important: undiluted essence must not be applied to the stones.
Before use, check what you prefer for your cabin. If you use an infrared cabin, use a bowl of water. If you have a Finnish sauna, prepare a solution and pour it over the stones. In both cases, follow the recommended dose. This gives you a pleasant aroma without unnecessary risk.
