The Emaux 06011029 pressure gauge is an original spare part for Emaux sand filters. The housing is stainless steel and the gauge is oil-filled. It shows the pressure in the filter and tells you when it is time to backwash.

Why you need an Emaux pressure gauge
The pressure gauge is a small but important instrument in filtration. While the sand is clean, the pressure is low. Over time the sand traps more and more dirt. Then the pressure rises and the needle moves toward the red zone.
This way you easily see when the filter needs backwashing. There is no need to guess by the colour of the water. In addition, timely backwashing protects the pump and the valve from unnecessary load.
Scale and colour zones
The scale is dual – in psi and in kPa. It goes up to 40 psi and 280 kPa. The blue FILTER zone shows normal filter operation. The red CLEAN zone shows that it is time to clean the sand.

Which filters it is suitable for
The pressure gauge is part of the Emaux sand filter set. Emaux dealers list it as a spare part for the SR series filters. These are models S450R, S500R, S650R, S700R, S800R and S900R. There it is fitted in a tee on the filter lid.
It is important to check the connection before ordering. This model has a connection on the back of the housing. It is not suitable for Emaux FSU-6TP and FSU-8TP filters. For them, Emaux offers a plastic pressure gauge with a bottom connection.
Replacing the old pressure gauge
Replace the pressure gauge if the needle does not return to zero. Replace it also if the glass is cracked or the oil has leaked. First switch off the pump and release the pressure in the filter. Then unscrew the old gauge.
Screw the new pressure gauge in place of the old one. Tighten it carefully, without overdoing it. Finally, start the filtration and note the pressure with clean sand. This value will be your reference for the next backwash.
