Active oxygen tester and two more values
While you use just one strip, you measure three important water parameters. Thus, in three simple steps, you learn the concentration of the products. Moreover, the result is ready in just 15 seconds.
- Active oxygen: range 0–20 mg/l, while the recommended value is 10–14 mg/l.
- pH: range 6.8–8.4, while the recommended value is 7.0–7.4.
- Total alkalinity: range 0–240, while the recommended value is 80–120.
How to use the strip tester
- Dip the strip in the water and then remove it immediately.
- Hold it horizontally until 15 seconds pass. Also, do not shake off the excess water.
- Finally, compare the colour of the pads with the colour chart on the label. Namely, the order is: active oxygen, pH and total alkalinity.
Whenever you test, read the correct values exactly after 15 seconds. If you wait longer, you can no longer compare the colours. Therefore keep a watch or phone at hand.
How often to measure
Measure the values regularly, because this keeps the water crystal-clear and hygienic. The manufacturer recommends testing at least twice a week. In warmer water, measure even more often. In a hot tub the water is warm, so regular measurement is especially important there.
An active oxygen tester also helps you dose the products precisely. Thus you do not add unnecessary chemicals, so the water stays pleasant for the skin. You can also easily notice when you need to correct the pH or alkalinity.
Who the active oxygen tester is suitable for
The tester serves for maintaining water that you treat with active oxygen. Hence it is convenient for owners of inflatable and rigid hot tubs. Storage
Close the package tightly as soon as you take out a strip. Also keep the tester in a dry and cool place. Besides, the package shows the expiry date.
