This Mountfield solar panel connector joins two polycarbonate solar panels for a pool. With it you combine several panels into one larger solar array. This way the pool water receives more solar heat. The connector is a small but important part of every solar pool heating system.

Solar panel connector with 1″ × 1″ thread
The threaded parts of the connector are 1″ in size. That is why it may also fit other solar pool heaters with this thread. Before buying, however, check the size of the outlets on your panel.
The connector is made of black plastic. The dark colour is usual for solar heating, and plastic does not rust. The sealing rings make the connection between the panels tight.

Why connect several solar panels
A single solar panel warms the water using only part of the solar energy. When you connect several panels, the area that absorbs heat increases. As a result, the pool water warms up faster and the swimming season becomes longer.
In addition, solar heating needs no electricity for the heating itself. The water passes through the panels with the help of the pool's filter pump.
Installing the connector
Installation is simple and requires no special tools. Follow the panel manufacturer's instructions.
- Switch off the filter pump before working on the connections.
- Put the gaskets in their places.
- Screw together the threaded parts of the two adjacent panels.
- Start the pump and check the connection for leaks.
