The ASTRALPOOL PREMIUM split filter tank is an anthracite sand filter with a 6-way valve, but without a pump. It is suitable if you already have a pump or want to choose one yourself. The tank is made of fibreglass and is especially easy to fill.

Tank sizes
- 400 mm – for pools up to about 45 m³ and pumps rated 450–600 W;
- 500 mm – for pools up to about 60 m³ and pumps rated 600–700 W.
Why the split tank is convenient
The tank is split in the middle, which makes filling and replacing the sand easier. It is also suitable for tight spaces, for example a basement or a filter pit. The two halves are joined with a stainless steel ring painted black.
The tank is made of fibreglass and withstands pressure up to 1.5 bar. This is sufficient for the working pressure in the filtration circuit.
What the PREMIUM split filter tank includes
- ASTRALPOOL split tank in anthracite;
- filter star with laterals and stem;
- stable leg and base plate (62 × 41.5 cm for ∅ 400, 74.5 × 50 cm for ∅ 500);
- pressure gauge with built-in air vent;
- side-mounted 6-way valve with sight glass.
All three valve outlets have a 1 1/2″ internal thread. Choose adapters to suit your type of pipes.
How to choose the right size
Choose the diameter according to the pool volume and the pump power. The ∅ 400 mm tank is for pumps rated about 450–600 W. The ∅ 500 mm tank is for pumps rated about 600–700 W. The tank is assembled on site and connected to your pump.
What else you need
A pump and filter medium are required for operation. They are not included. The ∅ 400 mm tank holds about 50 kg of sand and ∅ 500 mm about 75 kg (grain size 0.4–0.8 mm). Instead of sand you can use filter glass or Fibalon.
Six-way valve
The six-way valve has the following positions: filtration (normal operation and floor cleaning), backwash, rinse after backwashing, drain, recirculation without filtration and closed. The positions are selected with the valve handle.
