Water temperature with different heating methods

The 17 kW Inverter heat pump suits efficient heating of pool water in pools up to about 70 m³. Modern technology also allows constant control and monitoring of the unit's operation and the water temperature. Moreover, you can do this at any time and from anywhere via a mobile app and a built-in WiFi module.

This 17 kW inverter heat pump automatically changes its output according to the outside conditions and the needs of the pool. Therefore, electricity consumption is significantly lower than with standard heat pumps.

Every pool heat pump with automatic evaporator defrosting works more efficiently. The cooling mode also makes it useful throughout the season. Moreover, the digital control panel and quiet operation give peace of mind by the water.

This inverter heat pump has advanced technology that adjusts its power automatically to outdoor conditions and pool needs. When the unit reaches the set temperature, the system reduces the load. This results in significantly lower electricity consumption compared to standard heat pumps.

The unit works by extracting heat from the ambient air through a compression and expansion cycle of a refrigerant. Firstly, a fan draws air through the evaporator, where the heat transfers to the heat-transfer fluid. Then the compressor raises its temperature, and through a heat exchanger the heat passes to the pool water.

Pressure and temperature sensors control the fully automatic process, so the operation is reliable and efficient. The heat pump also features a modern design and quiet operation. Therefore, it suits every type of pool and outdoor space.

17 kW inverter heat pump – benefits

  • This will also extend the swimming season to 7 months a year.
They are also easy to install and operate.
They save on electricity bills because they run economically.
It also has a digital control panel with intuitive operation.
Up to 83% of the heat comes free from the ambient air. When you put in 1 kWh, you get up to 5 kWh free from the ambient air. Because of rising electricity prices, pool heat pumps are a really good investment. By comparison, electric direct heaters extract only 1 kW of heat from 1 kW of electricity. The image "Heat pump operating principle" is informative and also illustrates how the unit works. The parameters in it do not refer specifically to the model, but they are only examples.

Energy from the environment:

Heat pumps work by using the air temperature (the vapours around the pool). As the energy enters the pump, it expands and condenses, so it multiplies the heat energy several times over. It provides warm water in any weather, regardless of sunshine.

In order to take heat from the air around the pool, the pump compresses and expands the refrigerant. A fan drives the air through an evaporator, where it passes its heat to the refrigerant while it cools down.

Then a compressor carries the heat-transfer fluid, compresses it and heats it in the coils of the heat exchanger. There it also gives up its heat to the pool water. Afterwards, the cooled liquid leaves the heat exchanger and enters the expansion valve. There its pressure drops, and it cools rapidly.

Thus the cooled liquid flows back into the evaporator, where flowing air heats it. Pressure and temperature sensors also monitor the whole process, which runs smoothly. When you select the heat pump mode, you can reverse the direction of circulation and cool the pool water.

The heat pump achieves its highest efficiency at air temperatures between 15 and 26°C. However, unlike ordinary heat pumps, it can also work at much lower temperatures.

    Installation and connection

The heat pump comes fully assembled and ready to use. In order to start it up, you only need to connect it to the pool's filter system.

The inlet and outlet connections suit pipes with a diameter of 50 mm. If the filter system uses pipes with a different diameter (e.g. 32 mm or 38 mm), you need suitable adapters.

In order to get optimal performance, we recommend a filter pump with a minimum flow rate of 8 m³/h that matches the requirements of the heat pump.

    Important:

You must also place the heat pump and the electrical outlet at least 3.5 meters from the pool wall.

Additionally, you must protect the electrical installation with residual current protection (RCP) up to 30 mA.

Before installation, make sure that the electrical system is in good condition and read the installation and operating instructions carefully.
