Spiaggia Overflow Coping
This Spiaggia ("beach") overflow coping is a low stone element with a channel and a raised profile towards the inside of the pool. The element is 50 cm long, 16 cm high and weighs 33.5 kg.
According to the manufacturer, the raised inner profile gives the pool its style.

Profile and purpose of the Spiaggia overflow coping
The edge towards the water slopes like a small beach, the channel is behind it, and towards the paved area the coping ends flat. A Standard stone overflow grille, version V1, sits on the channel. It is also made to a radius.

For one linear metre, two straight elements are needed. The diameter of the pipe opening is stated in the order note.
Colour and finish
The coping is supplied in its natural white colour. It is intended for painting, covering with fibreglass or cladding, but it can also be left in its natural colour – as a frame along the inner perimeter of the pool that breaks up the mosaic or tile lining.

How the overflow coping is installed
- The overflow coping sits on the pool wall; with the RockPool system – on the support slabs of the buttresses.
- The elements are levelled very precisely: the edge over which the water overflows must be at the same height along the whole perimeter.
- Elements with a pipe opening are positioned according to the design of the balance tank and pipes.
- Before cladding, treat the coping inside and out with epoxy resin – Primer, and the channel also with Alimepox.
- The overflow grille sits on the channel; its version is chosen according to the coping model.
Materials for laying and cleaning
- Primer – two-component epoxy resin: 2 l for about 24 m of Standard overflow coping, 5 l for about 60 m.
- Alimepox – two-component epoxy resin with white pigment: 2 l for about 14 m, 5 l for about 35 m.
- Adhesive for coping and slabs, 25 kg bag, and grout in the colour of the coping.
Maintenance
Clean the channel regularly – lift the grilles and wash off deposits. Do not use a high-pressure washer on smooth surfaces, aggressive chemicals or de-icing salt.
Important before ordering
The products are a mixture of natural aggregates and pigments, so the colour may differ between batches. The tolerance for each size is ± 5 mm. Whitish stains (efflorescence) are possible – a natural phenomenon with cement-based materials that disappears over time. The manufacturer's warranty covers replacement of a defective element that has not yet been laid, so inspect the goods before installation.
