The Salinator SSC-mini salt chlorinator is a compact system for automatic pool disinfection. It produces up to 20 g of chlorine per hour and is designed for pools up to 90 m³. This keeps the water clear, and you do not have to dose chlorine every day.

Salt Chlorinator – How It Works
The salt dissolved in the water is converted into chlorine by electrolysis. The process is controlled by a microprocessor. The result is natural chlorine in the form of hypochlorous acid. It reliably destroys bacteria, viruses and algae.
After disinfection, the chlorine turns back into salt. That is why the cycle repeats and you hardly need to add any chemicals. You mainly top up the salt after backwashing, draining water or splashing.

Easy management
The panel has light indicators for operation, standby, alarm and cell lifetime. With the "+" and "−" buttons you set the operating time. A separate button switches on 24-hour super-chlorination. In case of a problem, for example no flow, the indicators tell you the cause.
Installation and Water Preparation
The control unit is mounted on a wall using the template from the kit. The location is at least 3 m from the pool and 1.5 m above the ground, away from direct sunlight. The electrolysis cell is installed in the PVC pipe after the filter and the heating. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Installation must be carried out by a qualified person.
A salinity of 3–4 g/l is required. For 4 g/l you need about 4 kg of salt per cubic metre of water. Use pure salt (NaCl, 99%). Do not use rock salt, iodised salt or salt with more than 1% anti-caking additives. The recommended pH is 7.2–7.6.

The SSCmini system was developed by Emaux. Keep the salt above 3000 ppm so that the electrodes last longer. Below 10 °C the unit does not produce chlorine. Also check that your heating is suitable for salt water. Choose a chlorinator for clean water without daily dosing.
